CELEBRATING 150 YEARS OF ROMANIAN OIL
Dear Petroleum Club Member,
150 years ago, in 1857, Romania was the first country to register a production of 257 tons of crude oil, as it is mentioned in "The Science of Petroleum". To celebrate this historical moment the Petroleum Club of Romania has the pleasure of inviting you to an outing on Friday, May 11th.
The 150 years of Romanian oil could not be better celebrated than in the Prahova region, one of the world's leading oil extraction and refinery sites in the mid-19th century and well after that, in the 20th century. The Club selected Petrobrazi Refinery and The Petroleum Museum as the main points of the outing.
This informal gathering shall also be a good opportunity to freely discuss the future development of our association and to introduce the goals and activities of the Petroleum Club to new as well as potential new members.
The program includes:
10:00 Departure by bus from Bucharest, P-ta Charles de Gaulle
The participants are kindly requested to start boarding at 9:45.
The bus plate number will be communicated soon.
11:30 Visit to Petrobrazi Refinery (Brazi, Prahova County). Tour of the Refinery, visit to the Command Center, tour guide: Mr. Petre Vlasceanu, Chief Blending and Storage Unit, Petrobrazi Refinery.
